Shrimp Flavours Indian cuisine

Easily in the top 5 meals of my entire life. Shrimp Flavours is an absolute gem in downtown Ypsi and I will now recommend it to every single person I encounter. As soon as we got out of the car, we were enveloped in the amazing smells. We ordered masala fries to start, followed by the special lamb curry, butter chicken, and garlic naan. The fries came out hot, crispy, and well seasoned. The garlic naan was freshly made, covered in garlic, and possibly the softest thing I've ever eaten. The spices and flavor in the lamb curry was simply phenomenal. And I don't even know where to start trying to tell you all about the butter chicken. I could eat it every day for the rest of my life. Sitting here writing this review, my mouth is watering all over again. The staff was very friendly and the food came out quickly. Hands down the most delicious food I've had in Michigan by a mile!

The gentleman Ali was very kind and respectful, I am very thankful to have had him as my server. Kudos to the folks who prepared my food, it was lovely! Ali gave a pitcher of water for the table, which is very considerate. The Mango Lassi is very good, with texture akin to yogurt rather than a smoothie. The Butter Chicken (Mild Spice) was very filling with its side of rice; with large chunks of chicken offered. The rice pudding is perfect for those who arent exactly a sweet tooth, offering a light sweetness that is perfect for rice puddings. The music choice is a very nice accompanyment to your meal, playing modern songs and their music videos from an Indian youtube channel. If you like drums and a lovely rhythm, then this is your place. Thank you very much for having me! I look forward to eating here again in the future.

Great addition to the neighborhood! Flavorful dishes--loved the okra especially. Lamb was tender, eggplant was smoky, everything had distinct flavors (tasted various masala dishes). Samosa chat was fresh and a nice surprise since those are few and far between in Ypsi/Ann Arbor. Cozy and comfortable inside—also a nice surprise given comparable options. Nice service, too.

This is some of the best Indian curry I've ever had. Service is always super polite and the food comes out every time really quickly. This time I got the specialty lamb curry, and my partner got the specialty chicken curry. We split an order of garlic naan to go with. It was incredibly delicious with just the right amount of spice to it all. I love coming here, it's quickly become my favorite place to get Indian curry. A mango lassi is the perfect way to end a meal here!

I went today with 2 of my girls to try out Shrimp Flavours for the first time and I’m so glad we did! The entire experience was amazing including the food. We ended up getting the Sampler Shrimp Plate which comes with Seasoned Rice, Salad, & 3 shrimp flavors (Spicy Shrimp was so good!) and the rice was exceptional, so buttery and flavorful. We also got chicken tikka masala, special chicken curry, palak paneer, Garlic Naan, Aloo Samosas, & Mango Lassi. The chicken was so flavorful and tender, very well seasoned. I would say the best Indian food I’ve had. I’ve tried so many Indian places and this restaurant is in my top 2. It is Halal too! (Highly Recommend) The owner was very friendly and welcoming. He was so outgoing and made sure we got all we needed. He made sure to get our feedback as well. He was kind enough to let us try the rice pudding which was perfect!! I am not usually one to leave reviews, but the overall experience here compelled me to write one to express how amazing this restaurant is. The food is phenomenal, every dish we had (Kadai Chicken, Aloo Gobi, Tomato Soup) was delicious! The chicken was perfectly moist and tender, the sauces were spicy and flavorful, and the soup was tangy and savory. The food came out hot, fresh, and fast. The server was friendly and attentive. On top of that, the prices are unbeatable, especially for Indian food! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great spot for Indian cuisine!

I had big hopes and wasn't disappointed! Cozy eatery with delicious food! The aloo samosas' where crispy on the outside and filled with yummy spicy potatoe and veg filling! I highly recommend the dal soup. Perfect for a cold night! The lamb korma was amazing (tender lamb in a dreamy cream sauce). The butter chicken is a must have if you like tender chicken in a well spiced tomato sauce!
